Offshore Helicopter Operations
The safe use of helicopters in offshore operations presents many significant challenges including the provision of accurate and reliable meteorological data at the platform. Helicopter operations are normally tightly regulated by national governments and this regulation includes the collection and provision of meteorological data.
Biral visibility and present weather sensors have a proven track record of use in the harsh offshore environment of the North Sea and beyond. Our sensors are used in systems that comply with UK CAA document CAP437, Standards for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas, and are consider compliant with NORSOK standards C-004, Helicopter Deck on Offshore Installations, and N-002, Collection of Metocean Data.
