| The
HSS range of visibility sensors are used to automatically switch / adjust warning systems
such as lights and foghorns on and off ONLY when necessary, whenever fog, rain, smoke or
dust lowers the visibility to a user definable level. The sensor can be located at the base or on the top of the turbine or even a
short distance from it. Being a forward scatter sensor it is far easier to site and not
prone to the interference that back-scatter sensors experience.
On smaller wind farms you can use a single sensor but on
larger farms it may be necessary to have one on each corner of the wind farm.
