SWS-200 Present Weather Sensor

for detecting snow, rain, drizzle, fog and haze

The SWS-200 Present Weather Sensor is a cost effective solution for measuring visibility and present weather designed for use on highways and for general meteorological and wind energy applications. The SWS-200 Present Weather Sensor has a measuring range up to 20 km (12 miles) and with an extra backscatter head provides enhanced present weather information.

Constructed of high-grade, powder-coated aluminium the SWS-200 Present Weather Sensor is suitable for use in most environmental conditions and has both digital and analogue outputs as well as relays for switching external equipment.

NOTE for prolonged use in environments where sea-water corrosion or other corrosive pollutants are a factor we recommend our fully corrosion-resistant HSS range of visibility and present weather sensors.

The SWS-200 Present Weather Sensor is based on the proven HSS technology of our higher specification HSS range of visibility and present weather sensors which have been in demand world-wide for over 20 years.

- Digital outputs (RS-232C, RS-422) and analogue output (0-10V)
- 3 x relay switching contacts (1 x fault, 2 x user adjustable)
- Window de-misters
- Standard self test and monitoring system

- Cable glands and terminal box (no cable supplied unless specified)
- Stainless steel mounting hardware for mast mounting (can also be wall mounted if preferred)
