Compact Hygro Thermo Transmitter

The Compact Hygro Thermo Transmitter is designed to measure relative humidity and temperature of the air and other non-aggressive gases. It is supplied with a 5 m connecting cable.

The use of capacitive humidity sensors guarantees:

• a high degree of long-term stability
• nearly linear characteristics
• good dynamic behaviour
• dewing stability
• low temperature coefficients
• low hysteresis

The Hygro-transmitter compact is equipped with a protective teflon filter with gauze. This protects the sensor against dust when used in the field. 

NOTE for use outside it is advisable to use a Weather and Thermal Radiation Shield.... which is available as an optional accessory.

Maintenance

The Hygro Thermo transmitter is delivered already calibrated and its characteristics remain stable for years.

Dust does not damage the humidity sensor but does negatively affect the dynamic behaviour. If the instrument is very dirty, the sensor element can be cleaned or carefully rinsed in distilled water making sure that the highly sensitive element is not touched. Before cleaning the sensor elements  the protective filter should be cleaned or replaced.
