Robust and accurate wind measurement and display systems with alarm
functions using the unique Wind Horizon 2-axis ultrasonic anemometers together with the
versatile Wind Tracker displays.
INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS OR FULLY INTEGRATED
SYSTEM
The systems can be delivered as individual
components for you to connect together yourself or alternatively if you purchase the
optional interface kit we will connect and prewire the systems for you. The choice is
yours!
SYSTEMS
There are 2 basic systems available, one
with a single output from the anemometer to the display unit and the other with two
anemometer outputs. Both systems are described below:
System with a SINGLE OUTPUT to the display
unit
- WH100M - Specifically for marine use. The digital NMEA output
from the anemometer goes directly to the marine* wind display (or to a
series of displays).
Systems with TWO OUTPUTS, one to the display
unit leaving one available for input into another compatible system or PC.
- WH300 - The analogue output from the anemometer can go directly to a single standard*
display (or to a series of displays), whilst the digital output can go simultaneously to a
PC.
- WH300M - Specifically
for marine use. The digital NMEA output from the anemometer goes directly to the marine*
wind display (or to a series of displays), whilst the analogue output can be
simultaneously input into your existing ship system or other compatible equipment as
required.
* the Standards unit displays 0 - 360o whilst the marine
displays 0 - 180o
ANEMOMETER OUTPUT
Digital signals are scaled to NMEA while
analogue signals are scaled to 0-50 m/s by default.
OPERATING VOLTAGES
The systems can be configured for mains or
battery operation. Our standard configurations are as follows:
- Anemometer at 24 VDC and display at 230 VAC
- Both anemometer and display at 24 VDC
- Both anemometer and display at 230 VAC
- Both anemometer and display at 110 VAC
CABLE
- 12 m of cable is included between the
anemometer and the display.
This can easily be extended to 25 m (or other
lengths as required). For extended lengths we always supply the cable in two lengths with
a connector rather than as one length as the weight and length of a single cable makes
installation more difficult. |
