There are two versions of the Small wind speed
anemometers available:
Both models measure the horizontal wind speed. The model 4.3400.30.000 analogue has a DC-generator, which is moved by the revolution of the cup-star, whereas the 4.3515.xx.xxx has a Reed-contact, which is activated by the revolution of the cup-star. These sensors offer the best price/performance-ratio for basic requirements and include 20 m cable. Applications include small building control systems and hobby uses. The wind speed data can be output to digital displays, for example, the analogue sensor model 4.3400.30.000 can be used with the analogue display model 4.3421.00.000 (please see specifications below).
The Small series wind speed sensor has 3 rotating cups that move around a bearing system providing a set amount of rotations for each wind speed. The amount of rotations and therefore the wind speed values are converted to either a proportional mA DC signal output or the amount of rotations are directly proportional to wind speed and output as a Hz signal. This allows the sensors to be integrated into typical cost effective monitoring systems. Examples of data output The data is available in 2 outputs depending on the model chosen:
