ULTRASONIC
ANEMOMETERS (WIND SENSORS) |
| How do Biral's ultrasonic
anemometers differ from other makes?
|
|
ULTRASONIC ANEMOMETERS are the high-tech alternative to
mechanical wind sensors.
They measure both wind speed AND direction
in a single sensor, have no moving parts and offer greater accuracy and lower maintenance.
If you do not know which type of sensor you
need please click on mechanical versus ultrasonic
to see the differences.

2- axis Wind Horizon Ultrasonic Anemometers
measure the horizontal wind speed and
direction and can be purchased as part of a display system or as wind sensors only.
With a display
The Wind Horizon ultrasonic anemometers are frequently
purchased with a Wind Tracker display to form a complete wind speed and direction
display system and are especially popular for marine use.
The system can be purchased ready wired with 12 m or 25 m
cable and a junction box for easy connection to existing systems (recommended) or as
individual units for you to connect.
Please
click on Wind Display systems - prices from £2,235 ($4,425)
Without a display
If you require a 2-axis ultrasonic anemometer to connect to
a PC or existing system requiring digital or analogue input please select from the 4
models below which offer a choice of heating and outputs (prices from £1,400 ($2,772)):
Model 100 with DIGITAL output
Model 200 HEATED with DIGITAL output
Model 300 with DIGITAL and ANALOGUE output
Model 400 HEATED with DIGITAL and ANALOGUE output

3- axis Wind Horizon Ultrasonic Anemometers
measure the horizontal AND VERTICAL
wind speed and direction.
These top quality ultrasonic anemometers
come in 2 ranges with a number of models in each.
Both ranges come with 12 m cable and a
field calibration kit for user reassurance.
