 The Compact wind speed anemometer is a mechanical cup instrument designed for the measurement of the horizontal component of the wind speed with analogue output signals. It is well suited for building control technology, industry, wind power systems, wind warning systems and the environmental protection sector.

The analogue output can be transmitted to recording instruments, data loggers, process control systems and displays. If you are interested in a display please refer to the wind speed indicators and alarms listed under accessories below.

For winter operation the instrument is equipped with electronically regulated heating which guarantees smooth running of the ball bearings and prevents the moving parts from icing-up.

What it does

The Compact series wind speed sensor has 3 rotating cups that move around a high quality bearing system providing a set amount of rotations for each wind speed. The amount of rotations and therefore the wind speed values are converted to proportional analogue signal outputs and this allows this sensor to be integrated into the widest variety of stations and logging systems.

Accessories

There are two digital wind speed indicators and alarms which are suitable for use with the Compact series sensors as follows:

1. Digital wind speed display model 4.1044.00.000

for switch or front panel mounting

Flat-section indicator for the display of wind speed values. The background of the indicator is black to facilitate reading of the red digits.

2. Digital wind speed display model 4.1045.00.000

as above but with 2 adjustable limit contacts

The two setting knobs on the front panel serve for setting the two potential-free relay-contacts. LED-digits show the switching functions.
