The USA-2 Wind Horizon 100 is a 2-axis
ultrasonic wind sensor with digital output. This sensor provides excellent cost /
performance ratio for the reliable measurement of horizontal wind speed and direction. With no moving parts
and rugged stainless steel construction the USA-2 Wind Horizon 100 is suitable for
use in harsh conditions. It is a highly reliable instrument due to the superior design, the ultrasonic measurement technology, the excellent repeatability of data and error accuracy and the data quality monitoring function which means you can concentrate on the data and not the sensor. Additional data such as virtual temperature is also available if desired. Data is available simply by connecting directly to a PC, however the sensor can also be connected to a number of other devices such as a data-logger.

Examples of data output Normal data example (instantaneous). Every data string starts with a header line that consists of the string SNC followed by a space and 12 characters for the date/time stamp, another space and finally the UTC string i.e.: SNC 940815090015 UTC x = 1.83 y = -0.79 T = 20.17
