This range of ultrasonic anemometers not only measure but also output the virtual temperature in units Celsius to two decimal places. If the Biral ultrasonic you order also has analogue inputs then by adding a device to measure relative humidity you can then derive the ambient temperature.

The virtual temperature is also used along with the known path lengths of the ultrasonic anemometer to perform one of the 3 data quality checks offered by this range (see data quality checks).
