_______________

The state-of-the-art Laser Precipitation Monitor (LPM) measures the amount, intensity and type of precipitation (ie drizzle, rain, hail etc). It is a highly accurate sensor measuring particles as small as 0.16 mm in diameter.

This sensor can be used for stand alone precipitation measurements or combined with the innovative Compact range of humidity / temperature, wind speed and wind direction sensors to form a comprehensive weather station.

The data from all sensors is reported via the LPM in a single time correlated data string for output to a datalogger or PC (optional PC software can be used to display and archive the data).

The system includes:

  • Laser Precipitation Monitor
  • wind direction vane
  • wind speed sensor
  • temperature and humidity sensor
  • weather and thermal radiation shield

Features

  • excellent price performance ratio
  • low maintenance
  • rugged design
  • standard data format for easy integration into existing systems
  • suitable for use at remote, unattended sites
  • mains or battery power
  • easily mounted to existing structure or mast
