_______________

There are 4 models in the Clima 2000 measuring some or all of the following parameters depending on the requirement:
  • wind speed
  • precipitation
  • brightness
  • temperature
  • air humidity

Wind - a rotating 3 cup wind speed design, measurements are made by a relation to the number of revolutions which is linear-proportional to the wind speed. This is supplied as a frequency through a Reed-contact to a connected frequency-voltage-converter. The frequency is dependent on the revolution number.

Precipitation - precipitation is detected by means of an infrared short measurement path that looks for breaks in the beam and can derive precipitation information from the time and duration of the break.

Brightness - the brightness is detected by means of three independent photo-diodes which are arranged in 90° segments. Three independent output voltages are linear to the brightness.

Temperature - the temperature sensor is a standardized resistance thermometer Pt 100 which has a long-term stability. The temperature is of a reference quality and standard output.

Air humidity - the measurement is carried out with a capacitive element which changes capacity according to the relative humidity.

What it does

Measures multiple parameters with the following general specifications:

  • wind speed with range of 89 mph
  • precipitation beginning and end
  • light intensity 0-100 k Lux
  • temperature range -4 ºF to 140 ºF
  • relative humidity 0-100%

Examples of data output

The data is output as a standard analog signal which can be output to commercially available bus systems and is output in the form of 0-10 V signals for each individual parameter.

example - 100% relative humidity = 10 V,    0% relative humidity = 0 V
