EXAMPLES OF TURNKEY SOLUTIONS Particle Size and Shape Analyser Particle Size and Shape Analysers An essential element to Biral's task was to take a university invention and develop it into a robust reliable product capable of being manufactured. Our multi-disciplinary team, which figured optical, software, electronic and mechanical engineers, were all required to work in close partnership with the customer. The most recent project of this type was for the MOD’s Integrated Biological Detection System (IBDS). Development has now been completed and Biral is manufacturing medium volumes of the device. Respirator Test System for the Military In this example, the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) approached Biral with a specialised problem involving aerosol science. They needed equipment and a process for testing the respirator fit for every individual serviceman’s head. Required for the protection against chemical and biological threats, a well-fitting respirator and good application technique is essential. Any potential test solution had to be extremely sensitive, capable of use in the field, fast and cost effective. Biral applied its aerosol and engineering expertise to develop a system elegant in its simplicity, which was fully adopted by the MOD. top of page |
